Version storage-v1-draft · 12 October 2026
Cloud storage terms
These are the full terms shown in the app before your first cloud action. This version remains subject to legal review before launch.
What cloud storage is
Cloud storage keeps copies of the projects you choose in your account's private storage, so they follow you from computer to computer. Your project folders on this computer stay yours and keep working without a connection. Nothing is uploaded that you don't put in the cloud: projects you keep local only, credentials, caches, downloaded models and the Blender program stay where they are.
What you may store
You are responsible for what you put in cloud storage. Only store files you have the right to keep and use. Never store anything illegal, including material that sexually exploits children, content that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights, or malware meant to harm others. Cloud storage is for your own projects: don't use it to host or hand out files to other people.
Your files are private. Nodelizer doesn't scan or browse them. We only look at specific files when we receive a credible report, a request from a competent authority or a court order, and only as far as needed to act on it. We may then suspend cloud storage on your account, remove the files concerned, or close the account and delete its cloud content. Where the law requires it, we keep what is needed and report it to the authorities. Unless the law prevents it, we tell you what we did and why, and you can contest it by writing to support@nodelizer.com.
Capacity
Your plan includes cloud storage: 50 GB on Starter, 200 GB on Growth and 500 GB on Pro, where 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes. This is a total capacity, not a monthly allowance; it does not add up month after month. Everything you store counts once, whatever the number of projects that use it: originals, project documents, wiki pages, Blender files, kept versions, conflict copies, the gallery and the cloud trash. Previews and other copies Nodelizer makes for itself don't count.
Storage add-ons
You can add storage in units of 100 GB for $4 USD a month each, before tax, on any paid plan, including annual plans. An add-on adds storage only, never credits. Every change is shown for review first, with the recurring charge, the billing date and any amount charged today; nothing is bought on its own. Added units are available as soon as the payment is verified, and are charged for the rest of the current month. Removing units or stopping the add-on takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. Add-ons need an active paid plan: when your plan ends, their renewal stops too.
When storage is full
You never store more than your capacity. We warn you in the app and by email when you reach 80%, 95% and 100% of it.
When storage is full, new changes wait on the computer that made them until there is room. Nothing in the cloud is removed: free space by deleting what you don't need, or add storage. Editing, saving, rendering, importing, downloading, exporting and deleting keep working the whole time. Nodelizer never charges you for storage you didn't ask for.
Make room automatically (off unless you turn it on)
In Settings, Cloud, you can turn on "Make room automatically". Then, when storage is full, Nodelizer makes room for your new changes by removing older content from the cloud, oldest first: first what is in the cloud trash, then old versions of files, then your oldest gallery results one at a time, then whole projects, starting with the one nobody has changed for the longest time. The project you are uploading is never the one removed. We email you about every project removed this way.
Only the cloud copy is removed. Files on your computers stay, and a computer that has a project can put it back in the cloud. A project that exists only in the cloud, and on none of your computers, is lost when it is removed.
Old versions
When you change or delete a file in a project, the cloud keeps its previous version for 30 days (or until 50 newer versions of the project exist, whichever comes first), so your other computers can catch up. Old versions count toward what you store until they go.
Files your projects no longer use
When you delete something from a project's canvas, its media file stays in the project folder for as long as an undo could bring it back. When the project is next opened, or when you choose "Clean up now" in Settings, Cloud, files that nothing in the project uses any more are moved to your computer's Trash, where you can still restore them, and leave the cloud with the next sync. This only applies to files the canvas manages: images, videos, sounds and 3D models a node used, and files a Blender scene brought into the project. Wiki pages, gallery results, conflict copies and kept Blender versions are never moved; only you delete those.
When your capacity goes down
Your capacity goes down when you move to a smaller plan at renewal, remove add-on units, or stop an add-on. Before you confirm, the app shows how much you store and how much room you will have. If you store more than the new capacity, we email you when you confirm and again three days before the date.
If you still store more than your capacity on that date, new changes wait, and you have 30 days to free space or add storage. We email you when the 30 days start, a week before they end, and the day before. If you still store more after the 30 days, older cloud content is removed until what you store fits, in the order described above, even if "Make room automatically" is off. With it on, room is made right away instead, and the review of the change tells you so. Once what you store fits again, the 30 days end; a later decrease starts 30 new days, and so does turning "Make room automatically" off.
Offline changes and conflicts
Changes made offline, or while uploads wait, are kept locally and uploaded when possible. When two computers change the same file, Nodelizer keeps both versions and shows you which is which; it never overwrites one with the other on its own.
Cancellation and retention
Canceling renewal keeps cloud storage and sync through the end of the period you have paid for; for an annual plan that is the end of the paid year. When paid coverage ends, cloud storage turns read-only for 30 days: you can still download, export and delete, and keep editing locally, but nothing new is uploaded. Restoring a paid plan inside those 30 days turns sync back on. Signing in again, a failed checkout or an unpaid invoice does not extend that window.
Deletion
After the 30 days, cloud content is permanently deleted, within about seven days of the deadline. Nodelizer keeps no separate backups of cloud content; a deleted file may remain in storage for up to 30 more days while deletion completes, and is not recoverable. Deleting your account deletes your cloud content right away. Files on your computers are never deleted by Nodelizer, whatever happens to your plan or your cloud storage; files your projects no longer use are only moved to your computer's Trash, as described above. Keep local copies of anything you cannot lose.
No backups
Cloud storage is a way to sync and carry your projects, not a backup service. Nodelizer keeps one copy of each file in its storage provider and makes no separate backups. We take care to keep it safe, but we can't promise that stored files will never be lost or unavailable. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you, for example with Export.
Trash
Deleting a project from the cloud moves it to the cloud trash, which still counts toward what you store until you restore it or delete it permanently. With "Make room automatically" on, the trash is the first thing removed when storage is full. Emptying the trash frees space right away and cannot be undone. Removing a project from one computer never touches the cloud copy or your other computers.
Local copies
The project folder on each computer is the original. You can keep any project downloaded for offline use, export a complete copy of a project at any time, including during the 30-day read-only window, and stop using cloud storage by setting projects to local only and deleting their cloud copies.
